Ramsay earns point for Blue Brazil
Mark Ramsay's second-half penalty was enough for Cowdenbeath to maintain their narrow advantage at the top of Scottish Division Two following their 1-1 draw at Airdrie.
A quiet opening period was sparked into life by Airdrie's Sean Lynch in the 39th minute.
Derek Holmes found the former Hibernian midfielder to produce an excellent finish into the top corner of the net.
The visitors drew level from the spot in the 51st minute when David Lilley fouled Scott Linton in the area and Ramsay slotted home the penalty for his eighth goal of the season.
The Blue Brazil dominated as they pressed for a winner with Marc McKenzie, Gary Fisher and Scott Linton going close, before Jamie Bain's late effort to win it for the Diamonds was blocked by Cowdenbeath goalkeeper Thomas Flynn.
