Livingston thrash Airdrieonians to surge further clear in Scottish League One
Scottish League One leaders Livingston thrashed Airdrieonians 4-0 at the Excelsior Stadium to extend their advantage at the summit to 12 points.
Sean Crighton opened the scoring in the 34th minute before an own goal from Airdrie goalkeeper Joe Gorman doubled the visitors' advantage five minutes into the second half.
Daniel Mullen and Nicky Cadden added the third and fourth in the space of three minutes, with Ryan Conroy sent off for the Diamonds in stoppage time.
Alloa leapfrogged Airdrie into second place with a 2-0 victory win at Queen's Park after goals from Greig Spence and Jordan Kirkpatrick.
Bottom of the league Stenhousemuir rescued a point against Albion Rovers with an 83rd-minute equaliser through Mason Robinson
Albion went ahead after 29 minutes through a Michael Dunlop goal but could not hold out for victory and settled for a 1-1 draw.
East Fife ran out 3-2 victors against Brechin City as both sides had a man sent off.
Kevin Smith and Chris Kane put East Fife in control before Andy Jackson pegged one back ahead of the break and Willie Dyer levelled in the 54th minute.
The game was won with a Chris Duggan penalty in the 68th minute before Brechin's Alan Trouten was shown a red card for violent conduct with six minutes left and Nicki Paterson was sent off for the hosts in stoppage time.
Stranraer kept themselves off bottom of the league by getting a point at home against Peterhead in a 3-3 draw.
William Gibson scored two goals for the home side, while Peterhead top scorer Rory McAllister also bagged a brace.
Ryan Thomson had opened the scoring for Stranraer, with Grant Anderson also on target for Peterhead.
